MP Board MPBSE 10th, 12th results 2018: The Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh has released the results for both Class 10th, 12th today, on Monday, May 14. All tho se students who had appeared for the same can check their respective scores at the official websites â€" mpbse.nic.in, mpbse.mponline.gov.in, once released. The Class 10th exams were held from March 5 to 31 by the MP Board, while the exams for Class 12th were carried out from March 1 to April 3, 2018. In case due to heavy traffic students are unable to open these websites, they may also check their results on the other websites such as â€" mpresults.nic.in and examresults.net. The overall pass percentage stands at 68 per cent in Class 12 while it is 66 per cent for Class 10.

In Class 12 exams, a total of 7.65 lakh students appeared of which about 6 lakh are from the regular category. As many as 1,08,358 failed the exams and 4.05 lakh passed. Similarly, a total of 11.48 lakh students appeared for their Class 10 exams of which the overall pass percentage is 66 per cent. In the regular category candidates, 8.30 lakh appeared and nearly 1.89 lakh students have failed. Overall, 5, 45,600 examinees have passed.

MPBSE results 2018: How to check

Step 1: Log on to the official website mentioned above

Step 2: Click on the link for Class 10th/12th results

Step 3: In the provided fields, enter your roll number/other required details

Step 4: Click on submit

Step 5: Your result will be displayed on the screen

Step 6: Download the same and take a print out for future reference

This year, in order to curb any malpractice, the MP Board has in troduced a slew of measures. All the invigilators at the exam centres were told that in case any examinee is caught cheating, they need to be immediately booked for a criminal offence that entails an imprisonment up to three years and fine up to Rs 5,000. As per reports,

Over 19 lakh, including 7 lakh Inter students and 11 lakh matric examinees, wrote their MP Board exams this year. The Class 12 board exam started from March 1 and ended on April 3 and Class 10 exams were held from March 5 to March 31.

Pass percentage of past five years of Class 12 and Class 10

In 2013, the overall pass percentage was 65.49 and 6,22,520 examinees appeared of which 73 per cent girls passed an d 68 pass percent scored by the boys: Below is the data from 2014 onwards:

MP Board results 2018: Pass percentage of Class 10

2017: 51.19%, almost 10,19,224 appeared and 50.71% boys passed, 51.02% girls passed

2016: 47.74%, 11,24,000 appeared, 56.33% boys passed, 51.78% boys passed

2015: 49.79%, 11,24,52 appeared and 47.56 % boys passed and 48 % girls

2014: 53.87%, 10,65,026 appeared, 47.89 %boys passed and

2013: 52.11%, 9,78,520 appeared, 50% boys pass ed and 52% girls passed

In 2017, Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education decided to calculate marks of only five subjects of Class 10 in the result to improve results from the current academic year. The education department sees the opportunity of reduced dropout rate in 10 board due to this. This will start from Class 9 from the current academic year.

Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education holds supplementary exams for Class 10 and 12 usually in the first week of July. The examinations get concluded by the second week of July. This will be held for students who flunk in either one or two subjects. In 2016, about 1.45 lakh students appeared for this exam. Students of vocational courses in the higher secondary who have not passed, or were absent in main examinations also get the second chance.
