Elections 2018 LIVE updates: In Tripura, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address elections rallies at Shanti Bazar and Asthabal Maidan. Modi’s rally comes a day before Congress president Rahul Gandhi will also hit the campaign trail in the Left bastion. BJP has emerged as a prime challenger to the CPI(M)-led 25-year-old Manik Sarkar government of the state. Before Tripura, Modi dedicated several development projects to the nation in Arunachal Pradesh.

3.01 pm: PM starts speech in Tripura, three days before the polling.

2.57 pm: Tripura Election 2018 â€" PM Narendra Modi has reached Tripura. He is about to address a meeting at Shanti Bazar soon.

1.02 pm: The election in Tripura’s Charilam Assembly seat has been postponed following the death of CPI(M) candidate. It will now be held on March 12. CPI(M) candidate Ramendra Narayan Debbarma died of cardiac arrest while campaigning on February 11. Charilam is a ST-reserved seat. Polling for 59 Assembly seats of the 60-member house will be held on February 18.
